Fawn Douglas’ daughter is a performer in the Pow Wow circle. She dances jingle dance style and southern cloth traditional. When the weather is hot, it is difficult to adorn the braids with fur. In lieu of this, Fawn created hair ties for the braids that are not as heavy for her daughter to dance in. The abstracted painting on leather is of a butterfly and geometric forms that represent the mountains that surround her environment. Ribbons in various colors match the dancer's regalia. They flow and move with the dancer. The sun colors were chosen to represent the dancer's name Sol (sun in Spanish). Black and white strengthen the bold design while the green grounds her close to Earth, Too-veep.
