Michelle Hardy-Rodriguez is the President of My Scars Are Beautiful, a non-profit organization that provides support, resources, and an active community for those who are physically and emotionally scarred by traumatic experiences.  In 2013, Michelle was in a horrific car accident on the highway, which caused severe third-degree burns to her body.  After overcoming multiple surgeries and a long rehabilitation process, she realized how important it was to have support and encouragement along the way.  She founded My Scars Are Beautiful to help people struggling with similar changes to their outward appearance, but she also wanted to help people heal from the internal mental scars that result from traumatic episodes.  Michelle wants people to know that they are not alone, they do not need to be ashamed of what they went through, and that My Scars Are Beautiful is here to help.  She has an Associates of Arts degree in General Studies from the College of Southern Nevada and is a licensed real estate agent who gives a portion of her proceeds to My Scars Are Beautiful.  Michelle has found strength and healing through her love of God, gardening, reading, Tai-Chi, and has achieved a first-degree black belt in Taekwondo.
